SOLDIERS’ DANCE A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) Another very successful soldiers’ dance was held in the Town Hall on Saturday night. Mr Len Daysh’s orchestra supplied the music and extras were played by Misses C. Saba, M. Tocker, N. Gundersen and Private Chaplow." The M.C. was Mr P. Habib. A competition resulted: —Mr Dick Holland 1. Mrs Brandon 2. Supper was provided by the Junior Patriotic Committee. Personal Items. Misses W. Young and C. Young, of Wanganui, who have been the guests of Mrs J. McKenna, have returned home. Mrs J. P. McKenna, Petone, has been visiting relatives in Featherston. Mrs McNamara, Senr., and Mrs Byrne, who have been the guests of Mr and Mrs McNamara, have returned to Nelson. Mr H. C. Hunter, manager of the Bank of Australasia, has been transferred to Dannevirke, for which place he left on Friday.
COSY THEATRE “SONS OF THE SEA.”
“Sons of the Sea,” a thrilling drama, will be presented on Wednesday night, with Michael Redgrave and Valerie Hobson in the leading roles.
