CLOTHING & FOOD SUPPLIES IN GERMANY. RATIONS CUT HEAVILY. t (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.50 a.m.) RUGBY, July 8.8 Mr Dingle Foot (Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Warfare) declared in the House of Commons today that stocks of clothing in Germany were now being reserved for the exclusive use of victims of aerial bombing. He added that about a month ago a very considerable cut was made in the German meat ration. It was now nine ounces a week, rather less than half the amount available in Britain. The shortage of consumer goods in Germany was very much more marked and much more stringent than anything hitherto known.
