REGENT THEATRE
“SWEETHEART OF THE FLEET.” “Sweetheart of the Fleet,” a breezy musical show, will be shown tonight. One of the main reasons for its success is the casting of Jinx Falkenburg, one of the most-discussed young stars of the screen today, with those other favourites Joan Davis and Joan Woodbury. Another bright feature is the song hit “We Did It Before and We Can Do It Again.” The radio comedians Brenda and Corbina are well to the fore in the production. The associate feature is “Singapore Girl,” in which mirth and mystery get mixed up with murder, melody and campers. Eddie Bracken and June Preisser have the leading roles.
