VITAL STATISTICS FIGURES FOR JUNE. (“Times-Age” Special.) In June, 3 births, 1 marriage, and 2 deaths were registered in Featherston. RED CROSS SOCIETY . EUCHRE PARTY. A most enjoyable time was spent in connection with a euchre party held yesterday afternoon under tho» auspices of the local sub-centre of the Red Cross Society. The card tournament was won by Mrs Elder, and Mesdames Peene and Baker were the winners of competitions held. > Donations were received from Mrs McKenna and Miss Goodrich. Personal. Mrs Agnes Hector has returned to Wellington after having spent the weekend with her parents at Pahautea. Rainfall Record. The rainfall recorded in Featherston last month was 9.18 inches. There was rain on 13 days, and the heaviest fall was 2.90 inches on June 19. In the corresponding month last year rain fell on 11 days, the total registered being 51 points. COSY THEATRE “A YANK ON THE BURMA ROAD.” Tomorrow night there will be presented the thrilling drama, “A Yank on the Burma Road,” featuring Laraine Day and Barry Nelson.
