ATTACKS ON AXIS TRANSPORT IN EUROPE BRITISH &, AMERICAN PLANES BUSY. DAMAGE TO RAILWAY TARGETS. LONDON, July 2. Ju the air offensive against German transport in Europe, Boston bombers and Typhoon fighters ranged today over Northern France and Belgium. The Bostons bombed the railway just outside Ghent and junctions and engine sheds at Lille and Courtrai. Typhoons severely damaged four locomotives in quick time.

In yesterday’s sweeps over Northern France and the Low Countries, American Thunderbolts attacked 30 German planes. Four were shot down, another probably destroyed. and five more damaged, for the loss of one Thunderbolt.
