BLASTED BV MEDIUM BOMBERS DAY OF PATROL ACTIONS. FOUR GERMAN FIGHTERS SHOT DOWN. LONDON, July 2. Ju Hie Mediterranean, Allied medium bombers switched back to Sardinia to blast the main southern part of Cagliari. AVellington bombers on Wednesday night dropped many 40001 b blockbusters. All the Wellingtons returned safely.
Yesterday was a quiet day in the air. except for patrols. Four German fighters were shot down off the North African coast. Fighter-bombers from Malta raided an airfield in Sicily.
