HARD WORK & LONG HOURS
WHEN PARLIAMENT MEETS AGAIN. ADJOURNMENT TO JULY 20. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The House of Representatives adjourned at 5.30 p.m. yesterday till 2.30 on Tuesday, July 20. subject to the'usual provision that if it were necessary in the public interest members would be called togethei’ before that date. . In moving the adjournment, the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, said it would be obvious to everybody that when the House reassembled there' would be need to settle down to hard work and long hours, with possible sittings till midnight in order that the considerable amount of work remaining could be pushed through. It would be essential to exuediate the business to allow adequate time for the election campaign. The House resumed yesterday morning at 10.30 and the sitting till the lunch adjournment was oc’cupied with formal business. In the afternoon the discussion of the estimates of departmental expenditure was commenced, the House rising at 5.30 p.m.
