INDOOR BASKETBALL
WAIRARAPA INTERHOUSE COMPETITIONS, LAST EVENING’S RESULTS. Bright and interesting games were witnessed by a large number of spectators in the Y.M.C.A. gymnasium, Masterton, last night, when the Wairarapa Interhouse Association continued its indoor basketball competition.
Sparklets and W.F.C.A. played a fast and closely contested game. W.F.C.A. combined well and played good basketball. Sparklets lost points on their goal shooting and appeared to need practice in combination. Hansell’s and Cody’s played a game which was not up to their usual standard. Hansell’s lost many goal shooting opportunities, but in the closing stages of the game had Cody’s bustled. Results:— Cathie’s beat Macduff’s, 8-4; W.F.C.A. beat Sparklets, 9-2; Lancers beat Garages, 16-3; Borthwick’s beat' Hansell’s B, 16-8; United beat Woolworth's, 8-4; Rangers A beat C. Smith’s, 14-4; Transport beat Rangers B, 8-4; Cathie’s A beat Mac Duff’s A, 11-8; Cody’s beat Hansell’s A, 13-4. The match McKenzie's v. Hosiery Mills is to be played at a later date.
