Feilding Dog Trials.

At the Feilding and district Collie Club’s dog trials the special Te Awa event was won by Mr S. Purvis, of Pahiatua. In other competitions Mr S. Herbert, of Pongaroa, secured a second and a third with his dogs.

Liquor Drunk on Train. Charged with drinking intoxicating liquor on a train between Otaki and Wellington, George Walter Driscole was fined £2, with 16s costs, by Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday. SeniorSergeant Paine said defendant had been to a bowling tournament at Otaki and was seen drinking a glass of ale on the train.
