DIPHTHERIA OUTBREAK
31 CASES IN MASTERTON HOSPITAL. NEARLY ALL FROM ST. PATRICK'S SCHOOL. Thirty-one cases of diphtheria are at present under treatment in the Masterton Hospital, though a number of them are little more than carriers. Twenty-eight of that number are pupils of St. Patrick’s School, 25 residing in the borough, and three in the county. In addition, there is one child from Central School, a working girl of 14 years, and one adult, suffering from the disease.
