TURKEY & BRITAIN

PERMANENCE OF JOINT INTERESTS DECLARED BY M. SARACOGLU. MINISTERS TO BE SENT TO DOMINIONS. LONDON, June 20. The Prime Minister of Turkey, M. Saracoglu, in a speech at Ankara, said: “The alliance which links Turkey and Britain is not for a brief period or for special purposes. It is becoming clearer as time goes on that the common interests of the two countries are permanent and stretch over a vast range of issues.”

According to a reliably informed diplomatic source, Turkey is soon to appoint Ministers to Australia, Canada and South Africa, says the Ankara correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain. The announcement of the creation of new posts is expected soon.
