COMING ELECTION
INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES.
SPONSORED BY PEOPLE’S MOVEMENT.
A list of Independent candidates, sponsored by the People’s Movement, who will contest seats at the coming general election, includes the name of Mr W. F. Smithson, who will seek election in the Wairarapa. Mr Smithson is a Second Echelon man of this war. He was wounded in Crete and invalided home. A representative of the R.S.A. on the Wellington Rehabilitation Committee, he has had commercial and primary production experience.

Donovan, D.C.M., Auckland Suburbs; Staff Sergeant L. E. Reid, Onchunga; Messrs R. J. Culver, Roskill; L. R. Wilkinson, Tauranga; Digby PerrettJ Waimarino; W. J. Crawford, Otaki.
