SCOUTS AND CUBS

MOKATOA PACK AND TROOP. There was a good attendance at the Mokatoa Cub parade, at the closing of which Second D. Corry was promoted to a Sixer and received his Sixer stripe, and J. Turnbull, after having been made a Seconder, was presented with his second stripe. Owing to very wet weather the Mokatoa Scout Troop's usual parade was not well attended. Scout work, comprising compass, lashing, knots, etc., was carried out along with several games . Patrol Leader G. Curry received his patrol leader’s badge after a month of proof that he could manage a patrol efficiently.
