AGAINST LOSS OF' 20 BOMBERS

LONDON, June 17

It is now known that in the recent American raid m on Kiel and Bremen. 200 Gorman fighters challenged the smaller of the two formations of Flying Fortresses which carried out the raid, when 26 bombers of both formations were lost. The smaller force which went io Kiel destroyed four fighters for every bomber lost and enabled the major attacking force on Bremen to carry om. its raid almost without fighter opposition. Twenty of the American planes were lost over Kiel. Only 25 German fighters were encountered over Bremen.
