GERMAN COUNTERATTACKS ON OREL FRONT HEAVY LOSSES SUFFERED. IN SHARP LOCAL FIGHTING. LONDON, June 17. On Hie Russian front there Jias been more sliarp local fighting' at the north-eastern end of the Orel bulge. The Moscow radio says that the Germans launched 14 coun-ter-attacks in 48 hours, all without avail.
One correspondent says the Germans have lost 2,000 to 3,000 men killed and wounded on this front.
