Cundy. ■ The treasurer reported the following I bank balances: —District Fund Account, i cr., £9O 12s lid; Cemetery Account, 1 cr., £lOB 10s 8d; Mayor’s Relief Fund I Account, cr., £75 14s 9d; Domain Ac- ; count, cr., £4O 14s; Water Supply Loan, 1936. Account, cr.. £47 Is 3d; Library Account, cr., £l9 3s Bd. Receipts totalled £177 16s 2d. Accounts passed for payment amounted to £382 15s Id. The Priority Committee wrote sanctioning the provision of a building required for holding flour. The chief inspector of explosives forwarded certificates of continuation of licences from the Bureau of Industry for Adamson’s Service Station, G. j Cooke, Ltd., Rowrn’s Garage, Phillip H. Wilson and F. W. Smith, Ltd. The Director of National Services wrote stating that a siren could be supplied for the Fire Brigade. It was resolved that the siren be applied for. The Masterton County Council wrote asking if the Council was agreeable to the same terms applying for a further two years regarding the distribution of heavy traffic fees. It was decided to agree to the request. The District Engineer, Public Works wrote wishing to know if the Council desired to apply for any more roads to be made highways. It was decided to write to the engineer in the negative.
