The soldiers’ dance on Saturday .night was very well attended. The music was supplied by Mr Len Dash’s Orchestra, and extras were played by Sergeant Nichilson, Corporal Fuller and Mr J. Riki. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss Clark and Private Cameron. Supper was supplied by the Junior Patriotic Committee. Red Cross Society. An enjoyable euchre party was held by the local branch of the Red Cross Society yesterday afternoon, the winner being Mrs Lawson. A competition was won by Mrs Lawson and donations were received from Mesdames N. Matthews and W. Barton. COSY THEATRE "DOCTOR AND THE DEBUTANTE? "The Doctor and the Debutante," which will be shown tomorrow night at the Cosy Theatre is an outstanding drama, and the best of the Dr. Kildare series. The chief roles are taken by Lionel Barrymore, Lew Ayres, Ann Ayars, Jean Rodgers and Alma Kruger. |
