LIABILITY FOR FIRE DAMAGE. CAUSED BY EARTHQUAKE. “The public should know for its own

protection that if a fire occurs following an earthquake there is no coverage,” observed Mr R. Krahagen at last night’s meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust when earthquake damage insurance was being discussed. The action of the secretary, Mr Alex McKenzie, in arranging for additional insurance on Trust properties to cover fire after an earthquake was endorsed. Trustees pointed out that the matter was important from the public’s point of view.
