BREAKDOWN AT ARAPUNI STRICT ECONOMY ESSENTIAL. RESTRICTIONS IN WAIRARAPA. In view of the special emergency created by a breakdown at Arapuni, the Wairarapa Electric Power Board makes an urgent appeal to power users to exercise the strictest economy until further notice. Householders who have fireplaces are asked not to use their radiators and if they have fuel ranges, not to use their electric ranges. Radios should not be used between 9 a.m. and noon and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and water heaters must be switched off daily between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. All lights and electrical appliances must be used as little as possible, but especially between 10 a.m. and noon and between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
