IMPRESSIVE PARADE

WATCHED BY GREAT THRONG IN WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An impressive United Nations Day parade which marched through the city at midday was watched by a great throng of spectators. The salute was taken by the Governor-General (Sir C. Newall) at Parliament Buildings. The procession included all branches of the Fighting Services, women’s auxiliaries and the Merchant Marine. The principal feature was a body of 3,000 United Slates Marines, who, with a band, headed the procession. The parade included mechanised equipment.
