ST. MARK’S GUILD SUCCESSFUL SHOP DAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The members of St. Mark's Guild held a most successful “shop day” yesterday. Excellently organised the total takings were £lO2, made up as follows:—Produce stall, £l6 3s 6d; woollies. £7 5s 6d: white elephant. £l9 6s: sewing. £l5 9s; jumble, £8 14s 6d; cake, £4 5s 6d: bargain. £9 3s 6d: tea* rooms. £2O 7s. There are still a few more small sums to come in. Personal Items. A letter received in Carterton from Pte. B. H. Gayfer, who is with the Middle East Forces, refers to the nature of his wounds from which he was recovering. Motor Collision. Just after 9 o’clock this morning a car driven by Miss Falloon. of "Bowlands,” Bideford, Masterton. collided with a lorry driven by Mr A. Archer, of Carterton, in the Memorial Square. Damage was done to the motor car, which was later towed to the garage of Messrs Hughan’s Ltd. for repairs. REGENT THEATRE "UNDERGROUND.” "Underground.” a thrilling spy story, featuring Jeffrey Lynn and Philip Dorn, will be shown tonight.
