ASTON BY-ELECTION
CONSERVATIVES RETAIN SEAT. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright I (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 10. The Aston by-election resulted: Commander R. M. Prior (Conservative), 6,315. Major G. Hall (Commonwealth Party), 1,885. S. H. Davis (Independent), 514. The Conservative majority was 4,430. Only 22 per cent of the electorate voted.
The vacancy was due to the death on active service of Colonel Kellett, D.S.O.
