ENEMY CLAIM

SECOND ATTACK ON LAMPEDUSA REPELLED. ITALIANS ASKED TO CELEBRATE. LONDON, June 10. The Rome radio says that a second Allied attempt to seize Lampedusa Island was repulsed with heavy losses. The Italian people are today being asked to celebrate the third anniversary of Italy’s entry into the war and also Italy’s Navy Day. It is commented in London that the Italians are bound to be looking back on how much the Fascist regime has got for them and also to realise that their trials are only just beginning.
