HERDED IN TRUCKS
AND STARVED TO DEATH RUSSIAN PRISONERS IN NAZI HANDS. EVIDENCE FROM BELGIUM. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, June 9. The Belgian News Agency reports that Russian prisoners, herded in goods trucks, have arrived at the Campinaire coal mines, near Namur. Three prisoners of a contingent which had not received food or drink for four days, died en route. When news of the arrival of the Russians spread, civilians provided them with sandwiches and tobacco.
