ARMY CLOTHING
VOLUNTARY WORKERS TO MAK'S REPAIRS. APPEAL TO WAIRARAPA WOMEN. The women of the district are invited to attend the Women’s Division Rooms, Masterton. every Friday at 10.15 a.m. onwards in order to assist with repairs to army clothing. This decision was made by a meeting of women held in Masterton yesterday, over which Mrs C. C. Jackson presided. It was agreed that the women of the district should make an effort to meet the urgent demand for workers to carry out repairs to army clothing and that those wishing to assist should meet every Friday in the Women’s Division rooms. Those who were unable to remain at the I’ooms to do the work could take the garments home and return them when mended. An appeal is made for the loan of sewing machines by those who have them to spare, as their use will considerably expedite the handling of .the clothes to be mended.
