LIBERTY LOAN
FINE WINDOW DISPLAY IN W.F.C.A. LTD.
In furtherance of the Third Liberty Loan campaign the Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-operative Association Ltd., has a window display in Queen Street depicting a replica of a Post Office scene which illustrates that the loan is an affair for all members of a family. The display shows a Post Office desk at which figures representing a man and his Wife and young child are paying in their contributions to the loan.| The man has a cheque for a substantial amount and his wife several pound notes. The child has a handful of ten shilling notes. Slogans on cards are well placed around the window to catch the eye and at the rear of the window is a picture of some R.A.F. men getting into a rubber boat after their plane had sunk in the sea. xA “V” for victory sign surmounted by a Union Jack catches the eye. The window is lit by diffused lighting and the display is attracting considerable attention.
