Victory Book Drive.

A splendid response to the Victory Book Drive for men overseas is reported locally by the organiser, Mr C. W. Gaze. Over 2,000 books have been collected. An appeal is made to the community for benzine or similar cases to enable the books to be packed and despatched to Wellington.

Engineer Corps Parade Cancelled. The Masterton section of the Defence Engineer Service Corps (Wellington Company) will not parade tonight, as the parade has been cancelled. The next parade will be a full day parade on Sunday, June 20, at 8.45 a.m.
