GREYTOWN
LABOUR PARTY ENJOYABLE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Greytown branch of the Labour Party held a very enjoyable euchre party and dance in the Odd Fellows’ Hall last evening. Visitors were present from Featherston and the surrounding districts. The euchre winners were: Ladies, Mrs C. Matthews 1, Mrs N. Burt, Featherston, 2. Men: Mr R. Elliott (Greytown) 1 and Mr W. Woodley 2. Consolation prize, Mr W. Lyster. The music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs F. Anderson and Mr Norman Lyster and extras were played by Mrs V. Harris and Mr R. Remene. Mr T. Karaitiana was M.C. Footballer Injured. Grant Herod, a member of the Greytown third grade football team, received a knock on the head on Saturday afternoon. He was taken to the Greytown Hospital suffering from concussion. His condition is reported to I be improving. TOWN HALL “NAZI AGENT.” Tonight’s programme will be headed by the sensational spy story, “Nazi Agent,” in which the leading roles are portrayed by Conrad Veidt and Ann Ayars.
