WELFARE LEAGUE
MEETING IN MASTERTON.
COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES
The monthly meeting of the Women’s National Welfare League was held in Masterton. yesterday afternoon. Those present were Miss Kummer (in the chair), Mesdames R. C. Drummond, S. Fletcher, E. J. Brown, A. W. McKenzie, S. J. Munn. S. N. Kilgour, R. Whyborn and Miss Guild. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames T. Jordan, H. E. Pither, L. Hunter, McCracken, Carruthers and Misses Cameron.
Mrs Drummond reported on two visits paid to the Public Hospital during May. The visitors for June 8 and 22 will be Mesdames Drummond and E. J. Brown.
Mrs McKenzie reported that two cases had been assisted in May. Mrs Carruthers reported that a hamper had been sent to the A.N.A. Club in May. It was reported that donations for June could be left at Mr Ninnes’s shop before the 20th of the month. Miss Guild reported on Red Cross Society activities.
