MASTERTON SALE
The Associated Auctioneers report: — Only a small yarding of sheep came forward at yesterday's Masterton sale. There was very limited competition for the fats. Store hoggets were in demand, and sold at advanced prices. Several pens of fat cattle were offered, but met a dragging sale, although they changed hands later at satisfactory prices. Fat lambs, 20s to 21s lOd; fat ewes (heavy), 18s to 20s; (lighter), 13s to 15s 6d; fat wethers. 25s lOd to 26s 6d; w.w. hoggets (good), 12s 6d to 14s 4d; smaller, 10s to Ils 6d; others, 5s to 6s 9d; shorn w.f. lambs, 12s 7d; b.f. lambs, 10s to Ils 3d; fat bullocks, £11; fat cows, £9 ss; forward cows, £5.
