SOUTH FEATHERSTON
EUCHRE PARTY & DANCE WAR SERVICE COMMITTEE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall by the War Service Committee. Udy’s Orchestra provided the music and much appreciated extras were played by a soldier. Mr H. Graham was M.C. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mr Alex Burt and Miss Shona Cross. Mr Jim Cross and Miss Noeline Wilton. A lucky spot dance was won by Mr A. Maidment and Miss Betty Fuge. The card winners were as follow:— Ladies, Mrs Baker 1, Mrs Willis 2; men, N. Burt 1, G. Hyland 2. Supper was served by a ladies’ committee. Personal Items. Mrs D. W. Burt has returned home after a few days spent in Wellington. Mr and Mrs A. Gain have returned after a holiday spent at Wellington. Mrs Wakely has returned from Auckland. Mr and Mrs D G. Robertson have returned to their home after a holiday spent with Mrs Robertson's parents, Mr and Mrs Ashworth, Hastwells.
