MANY EARTH TREMORS
FELT IN SOUTH-WEST GERMANY. BUT NO CAUSE FOR ALARM. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, May 31. According to the Stuttgart radio, about 50 major and minor earthquake shocks were registered at Wurtemburg, south-west Germany, between Saturday morning and last night. Further shocks are expected, but there is no cause for alarm. ANOTHER STORY. FIRES CAUSED & HOMES DESTROYED. Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 31. The German News Agency says an earthquake which shook south-eastern Germany on Friday caused fires and destroyed many homes.
