TAUERU

MAORI WAR EFFORT ENJOYABLE DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) _ A well attended dance was held in the Taueru School on Saturday night in aid of funds for the Maori War Effort. The music was supplied by Te Tau’s Orchestra and Mr Waitere was M.C. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Tui Waitere and Miss Betty Ihaka. and a statue dance was won by Miss Betty Loader and Mr Norman Loader. Mrs B. Loader and Mr W. Harding won a waltzing competition. Mrs Paku sang a Maori action song and songs were given by Mr Edward Te Huki.
