PRICE ORDERS

BOOKLET NOW AVAILABLE.

A booklet containing the substance of all price orders at present in force has been compiled and dispatched to all post offices known as permanent and non-peTmanent money-order offices. There are 930 of these post offices throughout the Dominion. The president of the Price Tribunal (Mr Justice Hunter), said that this had been done to meet complaints by traders that some time elapses before they can obtain copies of price orders from the Government printer. It has further been arranged that all new price orders will be dispatched as soon as printed to such post offices, so that all persons will be at liberty to consult the price orders at any one of the 930 post offices. A poster will be exhibited at the post offices drawing attention to this service. Owing to shortage of staff, it had not been found possible to arrange for copies of price orders to be sold at all the 930 post offices, but existing arrangements whereby publications issued by the Government Printer may be purchased at the post offices at Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin on personal application will continue, and this will apply to price orders. Copies of price orders may also, .as heretofore, be purchased on application personally or by letter to the Government printer, Wellington.
