In radio propaganda intended only for areas outside Gemany, Goebbels is declaring fhat: “We ourselves know that our bombing raids on England in 1940 and 1941 were ineffective and although that discovery was a bitter one, the British and Americans must know that their present raids will be ineffective.” .
On the other hand, German military commentators are admitting that Allied air offensive action, in addition to what it has already accomplished, is capable of preparing attacks against the fertress of the Axis.
