MASTERTON SALE
The Associated Auctioneers held their weekly Masterton sale yesterday to an average attendance. In spite of the inclement weather conditions, most sections showed a firming tendency. Fat ewes, however, were easier owing to an increased yarding. A few dairy cows were offered, which sold at satisfactory prices. .The following realisations will serve to indicate values: — Fat sheep—Fat wethers, 2Gs lOd, 255, 24s 4d; lighter sorts, 22s Id, 225, 21s 3d; fat Down ewes, 17s; fat ewes, 16s, 15s 2d, 15s, 14s 3d to 14s; fat lambs, 235.' Store sheep—2-tooth wethers, a/c. E. W. O’Connor, 22s Id; a/c. R. Liverton, 21s 9d; a/c. L. D. Cameron, 28s; a/c. Awatoitoi, 19s sd; a/c. Glendonald, 17s; a/c. Jas. Andrews, 19s 4d; others, 19s 7d, 19s 3d, 17s sd, 17s, 16s lOd, 16s 4d, 16s Id to 14s 4d; black face wethers, 16s 2d; ewes, r.w. Southdown ram, 2-tooth ewes, 16s 3d; m.a. ewes, 13s 6d to 9s; 2-tooth and 4-tooth ewes, 13s 4d; 6-tooth to 4-year ewes, 10s Id; 5-year ewes, 9s 3d to 7s 7d; w.w. lambs, 12s Bd, 12s 3d, Ils, (medium) 10s 7d to 9s 3d, (small) 7s 6d.
