KAIPARORO
TENNIS SEASON ENJOYABLE WIND-UP DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) An enjoyable dance was held i'o wind up the tennis season on Thursday evening last in the Kaiparoro Hall. The hall was comfortably filled for dancing and the music was supplied by Miss I. Madsen (piano) and Messrs N. Dick (drums) and J. Torrey (banjo). Novelty dances were; won by Miss D. Nagel and partner (statue waltz), Mr J. Dick and Mrs J. Searancke (Monte Carlo) Mr K. Isakson and Miss N. Dick (lucky spot).
The cups in the tennis competitions were won as follow: —Men's championship cup, R. Dick; ladies' championship cup, Mrs D. Olivant; men’s handicap singles. R. Dick; ladies’ handicap singles, Mrs D. Olivant; mixed handicap singles, K. Isakson. The trophies were donated by Mr Claude Welch, Miss I. Madson and Mr D. Olivant. Personal. Mrs Dennis, Lower Hutt, who has been the guest of Mrs D. Olivant, has returned home. Mr and Mrs A. D. Hansen, Mt. Bruce, are spending a holiday at Paraparaumu. Mr and Mrs J. Searancke, Hamilton, are at present with the latter's parents, Mr and Mrs Jim Dick.
