PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr and Mrs W. L. Haste have received word from their son, Gunner R. Haste, serving in the Middle East, that ho is fit and well. Card Evening. The Labour Party Social Committee held its weekly card tourney in Carterton on Saturday night. The prizewinners were:— Ladies: Mesdames Brown, 1; J. Martin, 2. Men: Mr C. Woodbury, 1; Mrs C. Jensen, 2. There was a good attendance. Carterton Borough Council. The monthly meeting of the Carterton Borough Council will be held tonight at 8 o’clock. Rugby Union. In the .report of the annual meeting of the Wairaraoa Rugby Union published in yesterday’s issue reference to the Terry Memorial Cup should have been to the Terry Sugrue Memorial Cup. In the scale of charges the admission price to club matches for adults was stated in rhe report to be Is. 6d. The correct charge is Is.
