RED CROSS SOCIETY ENJOYABLE CARD EVENING. (“Times-Age” Special.) An enjoyable time was spent at the Red Cross euchre tourney held in the rooms yesterday afternoon. Mrs Elder won the prizes for the cards and Mrs Elliot that for a competition. Donations were received from Mrs McKenna, Mrs M. Burt and Miss Nix. Personal, Mrs C. J. Carlyon left yesterday for Eltham, where she will visit Mr and Mrs Den. Carlyon. COSY THEATRE “REMEMBER THE DAY.” A story with a wide appeal, “Remember the Day,” with Claudette Colbert and John Payne in the principal roles, is the attraction at the Cosy Theatre on Wednesday night. There is a good supporting programme.
