MASTERTON CLUB ACTIVITIES. MOVEMENT IN PAHIATUA. A most interesting visitor at the weekly meeting of the Masterton Esperanto Club held last night at 8 Short Street, Masterton, was Mr W. J. Donovan, of Marton, who is spending a few weeks here. Mr Donovan, who is a fluent, and experienced Esperantist, is well known in Esperanto circles in both Auckland and Wellington, and was able to give Masterton members interesting accounts of the activities of the progressive clubs in these two cities. Later, Mr Donovan led the club in conversational practice. Amongst correspondence received was a letter' from a Pahiatua resident, who desired assistance in the formation of a club in that town. The president, Mr E. J. Esler, said that those interested could be assured that the Masterton Club would welcome the formation of a club in Pahiatua and would do everything possible to assist. It was suggested that Masterton members should visit Pahiatua as soon as a meeting could be arranged there and also that a quantity of literature could be donated to the new club.
