STRIKE IN UNITED STATES RUBBER FACTORIES.

Fifty-two thousand C. 1.0. workers walked out of the country’s main rubber plants, protesting against the War Labour Board's decision whereby an increase in the hourly wage of three cents was granted, while the union demanded eight cents.

Union officials have called on the workers to resume work, and said an appeal would be lodged against the award.
