PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) Mrs A. L. Willis, of Napier, is spending a holiday with her mother. Mrs E. Wenden. Main Street. Mrs E. Richards and Miss D. Richards have returned home after spending a holiday at Lake Ferry. Mrs C. Rees, of Hawera, is the guest of Mrs H. T. Rees, McMaster Street. Growing Potatoes. The Papawai Pa grounds have been ploughed up and it is the intention of the Tribal Committee to plant potatoes. This is part of their war production effort. Card Tourney & Dance. The Greytown district Tribal. Committee held, a successful euchre party and dance in the Town Hall on Friday evening. The euchre prizes were won by Mrs Ticehurst (Carterton), 1; Mrs S. Te Tau (Greytown), 2. Men: Mr Ticehurst. 1; Mr K. Matiaha, 2. Mrs Ticehurst and Mr Matiaha generously donated ther prizes to the committee. The music was supplied by Messrs Andrew and Morris. TOWN HALL “THE CHOCOLATE SOLDIER.” Tonight at 8 p.m. “The Chocolate Soldier” will be shown .at the Town Hall. Nelson Eddy and Rise Stevens present a joyous musical entertainment, in which spirited choruses and attractive dance ensembles are features. Also showing is Chapter 2 of the “Riders of Death Valley.”
