STILL IN QUARANTINE
RECENTLY-ARRIVED HOSPITAL SHIP. NOTIFICATIONS TO NEXT-OF-KIN OF PATIENTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. “A careful examination by the health authorities of all on board the hospital ship which recently arrived has revealed that the position is satisfactory, but that it is necessary for quarantine restrictions to remain in force for several days yet,” said the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, on Saturday. He added that there had been no frosh cases since the ship left the Australian port of call. The general health of all patients, the hospital staff, and the ship's company was satisfactory. “Next-of-kin of all patients,” said Mr Fraser, ‘‘were today notified accordingly, and that if they so wished they could send telegrams and letters to the patients, special arrangements having been made to enable any correspondence to be delivered to the ship. It has been decided to move the ship from her present anchorage for the remainder of the quarantine period, but as soon as the ship is reported clear by the health authorities no time will be lost in disembarking the patients. Papers are being sent to the ship each day, and additional recreational equipment, etc., have been placed on board.”
