CARTERTON
PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr and Mrs C. May, of Waipukurau, who have been staying with Mrs May’s parents, Mr and Mrs A. J. Lindop, Garrison Street, Carterton, return to their home tomorrow. Mr and Mrs E. A. Pankhurst, who have been on holiday in the South Island, returned to Carterton on Saturday. Messrs C. Larsen and W. Williams, who have been to Whakatane and other places for the shooting season, returned home last evening. They reported that pheasants were very scarce but ducks were plentiful. Euchre Tourney & Dance. A euchre tourney and dance will be held in the Park vale Hall on June 2 by the Women’s Institute. Novel ty dances will be held. Mrs Ashton’s Orchestra will provide the dance musiem. REGENT THEATRE “BAHAMA PASSAGE.” Madeleine Carroll and Stirling Hayden are featured in “Bahama Passage.” showing at the Regent Theatre tonight. The film is in technicolour. The story develops along an arresting love theme.
