The planting of 7,500,000 trees on 8,000 acres of denuded timber lands in British Columbia will start as soon as weather permits, according to a provision of the British Columbia Forest Service’s reafforestation programme for 1943. Three years ago, following ten years of experimental plantings, an intensive policy of reafforestation in British Columbia was embarked upon. Since that time no less than 18,500,000 trees have been set out on 22,600 acres of logged-over lands, the equivalent of roughly 30 square miles.
