Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co.. Ltd., report:—A good yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward at the Carterton sale yesterday. Prices were on a par with late rates and a total clearance was effected under the hammer. The following are some of the realisations:— Sheep: Fat lambs, 20s. 20s lOd. 21s Gd. 22s to 23s 6d ; fat wethers, 255. 27s to 27s Id; fat b.f’s', 20s to 22s 4d; fat ewes, to 16s 7d: fat and forward ewes, to Ils Gd; store wethers, 17s 4d to 18s; ewe lambs. Us 2d to 13s 2d: b.f. lambs, to 13s: w.w. lambs, 14s to 14s 10(1; ewes, r.w. S.R. ram, 14s to 14s Id; small lambs, 3s, 5s to Bs. Cattle: Jersey cows on drop. £9, £lO. £ll 10s to £l2 ss; Holstein cows on drop, to £8; springing Holstein heifers, to £9: Jersey heifers on drop. £9, £lO, £lO 10s. £ll 5s to £l2; Jersey heifers, just calved, £4 10s. £5 to £6; fat cows. £5 to £7 2s Gd; forward cows, £3 15s to £4 17s 6d: store cows, £2 5s to £3 8s: cull cows, 10s to 375: fat heifers, to £5 15s; runners, to £3 13s: Jersey steers, to £5 12s 6d; bulls, to £6 17s 6d.
