SOVIET BOMBARDMENT OF NOVOROSSISK ENEMY FLANK ATTACKS REPELLED. LARGE-SCALE RAIDS ON AXIS COMMUNICATIONS. LONDON, May 13. Russian artillery is still shelling the German positions north-east of Novorossisk. Shells stopped two flank attacks by German infantry. Soviet air forces have made largescale raids on important enemy communications, wrecking trains and lorries laden with troops. Eighteen German planes were shot down for the loss of five Russian aircraft.
