AMERICAN SERVICE CLUB
NEW APPOINTMENT MADE. Miss Gertrude Ruth Munsell, of Missouri, U.S.A., has arrived in Masterton and taken up her duties at the American Red Cross Service Club. Miss Munsell, who is Assistant-Direc-tor for off-camp duties, will assist Mrs Betty Learmont at the club. Miss Ruth Mellor of Springfield, Illinois, has also arrived in Masterton. Miss Mellor will be engaged in on-camp and hospital work and will work under Mr W. J. Enders, Field Director, of Wellington. Miss Hannah More Fraser visited the club on Tuesday. The club is one of the many clubs in New Zealand under her supervision. A branch of the Bank of New Zealand is being established in the club for the convenience of men on leave at which dollars, etc., can be changed into New Zealand currency. The branch will be open from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. daily.
