MEETING OF MASTERTON BRANCH. NURSE’S REPORT FOR MONTH. The monthly meeting of the Masterton branch of the Plunket Society was held yesterday. There were present: Mesdames J. Caselberg (in the chair), S. L. P. Free, N. Irwin, E. G. Norman, T. C. Richardson, D. Donald, J. V. Gordon, P. Nathan, A. C. Carmine, lan Bunhy, H. R. Keltie, T. F. Watson, R. Miller, A. F. Stewart, Kemble Welch, and H. H. Daniell. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames H. Robinson, H. Morrison, T. Jordan, R. C. Drummond, T. W. Wardell and Miss B. Kummer. A letter was received from the Dominion Secretary with reference to the postponement of the general conference. , Accounts amounting to £46 9s 9d were passed. Annual reports and balance sheets were received and read from the presidents of the Masterton, Mauriceville, and Tinui branches and were approved. Mr Owen Jones was thanked for his services on behalf of the branches. It was resolved to hold the annual meeting on Wednesday, June 23. The nurse’s report for the past month stated: — Masterton: Visits to office (town), adults, 461; babies, 441; preschool children, 71; casuals, 16; total, 973. Visits to homes (town), to new cases, 28; old cases, 72; total, 100. Preschool children seen in homes (town), 9; new cases for month (town), 13. Tinui sub-branch: Taueru, Blairlogie, Whareama, Langdale. 3 visits each; Whakataki and Castlepoint, 2 visits each. New cases, 2; visits to new cases, 4; visits to old cases, 47; total, 51. Mauriceville sub-branch: Mauriceville East and West, Kopuaranga, Mangamahoe, 1 visit each; visits to homes, 151. Pre-natal section: New cases, 2; return visits, 7; visits to homes, 3; casuals, 1; total visits, 13.
