CATTLE FAIR

LATE RATES MAINTAINED. The Associated Auctioneers held their supplementary Cattle Fair at the Colombo Road yards yesterday. There was a good average attendance. Buyers from the South Wairarapa, Manawatu and other districts operated freely. The entry consisting of some 1,200 head camo forward in fair condition and the prices were on a par with previous cattle fairs. Vendors were satisfied with the realisations and a total clearance was effected under the hammer. The following are some of the principal prices:— Fats:—Bullocks, £ll 12s 6d, £lO 10s; heifers £9 7s 6d, £8 10s to £8; cows, £8 15s, £7 19s, £7 ss, £7, £6 17s to £5 15s cows, ex-dairy, £4 12s 6d; vealers, £3 17s 6d.
